In 1368, China’s war effort involved many men who sacrificed their
lives on the front line. A young man in particular from a small village
was very proud of his country and brave at heart; and so the front-line
position was contentedly accepted. Nonetheless, there was a
life-changing sacrifice that was to result from his decision...
His
fiancé! Before he left, he said ‘With
all my heart and love for you, I promise that I would return and marry
you’. Ten years past and the war finally ended. Upon arrival to the
small village, he was informed that his fiancé had left and married
another man. However, he had not given up. For years, he vigorously
tried to find the woman despite her marriage, to keep his promise.
Finally finding her, he proclaimed how his love for her never ended. He
could not go back to his past life, but only move forward. Though he
could not marry her, he had kept his promise.
